A dream project: in 2023-24 I designed and illustrated LCBA's guide to Risograph printing, to help both studio members and a broader print-loving community to get started with this process.
The guide includes a colour chart of LCBA's 10 colours, showing how the colours look when printed at different opacities and when overlayed on top of each other.
It also includes beautiful inserts by Annie Strachan and Sonnenzimmer (Nick Butcher & Nadine Nakanishi) to offer samples of artwork using this amazingly versatile process. The four different paper stocks used in this guide highlight how different the inks look when printed on different shades.
The LCBA Guide to Risograph Printing

Double-sided tri-folded sheet, with 3 inserts, attached using paper fastener & washer.
The main sheet is printed 4-colour Risograph: sunflower, red, aqua & teal.
The inserts are printed 4-colour Risograph: yellow, aqua, red, black, and sunflower, fluoro pink, teal, purple respectively.
The colour chart is printed 10-colour Risograph: all the colours that LCBA have available to use in their studio!
